2nd Sunday of ordinary time "All the paths of the Lord are kindness and constancy toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees"
Christus Vincit Choir is a vibrant ensemble that serves the English-speaking community by performing at English masses at Centre Christus in Remera. The choir is dedicated to bringing people together through music and enhancing individual well-being, self-esteem, and concentration. The choir plays a vital role in promoting teamwork and spiritual connection through its performances and initiatives within the Church. The choir is known for organizing events such as the Vincit Music Month designed to enhance music skills among its members. During this period, choir members undergo intensive practice sessions under the guidance of renowned musicians, like Mr. Ssemanda Lawrence from Uganda, who contribute their expertise to elevate the choir‘s musical prowess.
These sessions not only prepare the choir for upcoming performances but also contributed to the release of their first album, aimed at connecting listeners with the Catholic Church‘s rich culture and spirituality. Christus Vincit Choir is also involved in community outreach, collaborating with other choirs and supporting social causes. We have partnered with Good News Choir from St Dominic University and have extended their musical ministry to vulnerable groups, like the Home of Hope, where we share songs, prayers, and essential supplies with the residents. This sense of community and shared purpose underscores our mission to be an integral part of both spiritual and social life in the region, using our musical gifts to serve and uplift others.
